Flood Control – Bens Branch Silt Build Up Concern

A resident had a concern about the silt build up in Bens Branch. One of our Board members checked with Bob Rehak who said to request ditch cleaning in Harris County Precinct 4. If you would like to also put in a request, you will need to submit a service request through the Harris County website. You can do this by filling out the service request form and submitting it. The Harris County Commissioner Precinct 3 office also offers assistance through their Community Assistance Department (CAD), which can help with various requests, including those related to ditches.

Here is the link to the Harris County Service Request – Precinct 3

In addition you may also consider reporting to Harris County Flood Control. Here is the link to Harris County Flood Control Service Request Form. Harris County Flood Control has mapped the San Jacinto River Watershed and identifies Bens Branch as G103-33-00. Bens Branch begins in the area of St Martha’s Catholic Church north of North Park and then meanders through Kingwood to Lake Houston.

Please also include G103-33-04, the drainage ditch which runs between Kingwood Park & Ride and HEB continues along the area between The Enclave and Fosters Mill and then it joins Bens Branch southeast of The Enclave.
