Remembering Our Neighbor Henry Hawkins

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear neighbor, Henry Hawkins, on Friday, September 25. Henry had lived near the cul-de-sac park on S. Strathford since 2006. Whether or not you knew him by name, you may remember him as the gentleman who often sat in his garage with the door open, enjoying conversations with neighbors as they walked by and waving to familiar passing vehicles.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on October 3, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on October 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Henry is survived by his sister in Kingwood, his brother in Tomball, and his brother’s two daughters.

You can share memories and condolences on Henry’s obituary page through Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life – Dick Ireland

The family extends an invitation to join them to honor the memories and cherish the moments shared together of Dick’s life. There will be gathering for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 10 at Kingwood Country Club’s Lakeside Terrace from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.

Dick was dedicated to our community and served almost 30 years on the Lake Houston Community Association (HOA) Board as President.

(Richard) Dick Ireland, age 87, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at his home on Penmere Ct, The Enclave. In hospice care prior to his death, Dick had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer and at the time of his passing was battling pneumonia. Gail, his wife, said Dick had elected to donate his body to science, so there was no funeral.

Wishing Gail, family and those that knew and loved Dick, strength and comfort.
